Patricia Burns


As a psychologist, I am passionate in the belief that when we connect to our authentic self, bringing curiosity to our experiences, we can live a more fulfilling life. I am a big believer in emotions being our guideposts, even uncomfortable ones like anger and sadness.

I have always been an avid learner about people and what drives us all. Life is stressful, and knowing that our agency is in our choice of how to react is a lifelong journey. Opening the door to understanding our emotions and why we act the way we do can be a game-changer!

I promise to show you profound care and attention. The space I make for you is one where you can explore your inner world, with curiosity and humor, without worrying about the impact on me. After all, I am profoundly and genuinely curious about ONLY YOU in that one hour together.

We can safely explore emotions, thoughts, and behavior in a constructive way that puts you back in charge of your life. I encourage you to take charge of your therapy. I can bring a variety of tools and tricks from different therapeutic modalities.

The success of your therapy depends mostly on you being honest about what is working, what motivates you, and what risks you are willing to take. My skills and training allow me to use a wide variety of therapeutic modalities, including emotion focused, family systems, cognitive behavior, narrative, dialectical behavior, cognitive processing, and psychodynamic.

Mental health is as important as physical health, so whether you are experiencing a problem or just want to live life more fully and authentically, having the courage to contact me is the first step. It can only get better from here.
